Operational Group: Sustainable Dehesa. Improving agroforestry and livestock production in the Dehesa de los Pedroches

The Operational Group is focused on solving various problems:

• a) Plant health in the dehesa, including drought, decline of the oak grove, treatments to be applied.
• b) Animal production in the dehesa, actions at the level of animal health and other aspects of production.

This last point will be the specific application of the previous one and is aimed at obtaining a quality final product. In this way, innovation will be applied to the management of the dehesa, minimizing its impact and exploiting, always sustainably, all its resources at all levels, to offer consumers the guarantee that products such as acorn-fed Iberian ham, in addition to possessing excellent organoleptic qualities, are produced by and for the preservation of the dehesa.
