Sustainable dehesa. Improved agroforestry and livestock production in the Pedroches dehesa

The Operational Group is focused on solving different problems:

1. Plant health in the dehesa, including drought, decline of the holm oak forest, treatments to be applied.
2. Animal production in the pasture, actions at the level of animal health and other aspects of production. This last point will be the specific application of the previous one and is aimed at obtaining a quality final product.

In this way, innovation will be applied in the management of the pasture, minimising the impacts on it and exploiting, always in a sustainable way, all its resources and at all levels, to offer the consumer the guarantee that products such as acorn-fed Iberian ham, in addition to having excellent organoleptic qualities, are produced by and for the conservation of the pasture.
