Description
VITINNAT focuses on the implementation of effective natural solutions for controlling vine wood diseases, their impact on crop health and productivity, as well as on the quality of the grapes and the resulting wine.
Objectives
- Develop a new natural product to control airborne wood diseases of grapevines, easy to apply for the end user and suitable for organic farming.
- Demonstrate that the proposed ozone technology can control soil-borne wood diseases, making it feasible for potential users to use.
- Develop a comprehensive vine strategy for end-users aimed at obtaining grapes and wine without pesticide residues
- Evaluate the quality of the end-user grapes and wine produced from the proposed solutions
Results
- Identification of wood diseases and production of a new, effective, stable, and marketable product suitable for use in organic farming.
- Action plan using ozone technology, including dosage, timing of ozone application, and relevant information on beneficial microorganisms inoculated into the soil.
- Increased grape yields per hectare, reduced use of chemical active ingredients, and development of a comprehensive cultivation guide with treatments free of pesticide residues.
- Report with statistical analysis of the main quality parameters of grapes and wine
