Three activities are planned for the project. The first involves the design and creation of the first module of an e-toolkit with information and instructions on how young people can become entrepreneurs with zero-mile products from their rural community. The second is the development of module 2 of the e-toolkit, which will contain examples and case studies. The third is a pilot seminar, in which Youth Workers will participate to test the e-toolkit and ensure the course's success.
The main tangible outcome of the project is the development of a digital ICT toolkit with information, instructions, and practical tips for youth workers to learn how to start a sustainable business with local products and how to promote them creatively.
Other outcomes include the development of the skills of staff from participating organizations to plan, deliver, and facilitate this training for youth workers.
We hope that, after completing the final activity proposed in this project, rural youth, many of them immigrants, will gain entrepreneurship training and be motivated to do so by taking advantage of the resources their rural community offers with local products. In this way, we will meet our general and specific objectives: by reducing the unemployment rate in these areas, we will improve the green economy with environmentally sustainable practices.
