Description

By analyzing the employment situation in Spain in terms of unemployment, especially among young people, and job insecurity, this project has addressed the root causes of the problem, improving the professional and personal skills of participants. This significantly enhances their employability and entrepreneurial potential, directly impacting the professional sector, improving its competitiveness and professionalization.

The level of motivation and adaptation demonstrated by the students in their jobs in the host country has allowed them to develop and improve professional and personal skills such as responsibility, commitment, and autonomy. This, first and foremost, has allowed them to develop and improve their linguistic and professional skills, which has positively influenced their employability, making them much better prepared than other students and professionals in the sector to avoid or cope with unemployment. Furthermore, it has allowed them to contribute greater qualifications and competitiveness to their immediate environment (school and company) and to the rural sector, having received theoretical and practical training in foreign countries, where they have learned about and participated in new and diverse agricultural work and management systems, which are exportable to their surroundings.

Description of activities
  • Language support (English and German) as a complement to the project's online course taught at EFA La Malvesía.
  • Mobility of four students (two participants went to Belgium and two to Germany) to do internships, in addition to completing an internship at the reception center one day a week.
  • Mobility of two teachers to France for professional internships within the framework of a Dual Vocational Training program.
Objectives

1. Participants have shown an increase in their personal development (at a maturity level for students who have completed the mobility and at a level of responsibility and autonomy), human development (through the integration and cultural exchange that mobility offers) and in their linguistic competence, improving their command of a foreign language (English), as well as their command of basic phrases and words to communicate in German or Flemish.

2. As this project is linked to the opening of job opportunities in rural areas in the field of entrepreneurship, students who have undertaken mobility in Germany and Belgium have been able to learn new methodologies in the organization and management of work and the production process in the rural sector, use of machinery, contact with self-employed entrepreneurs, as well as improve their execution capacity (increasing their professional skills) and in terms of self-employment, highlighting the obtaining of the German chainsaw license after passing an official exam at the homologous center, by the students who carried out the mobility in Germany, a qualification that opens new possibilities in the European labor market.

Results

After analyzing the results obtained at the end of the project, we observed how they fit with the objective of the EFA "La Malvesía": the development and training of people in rural areas, providing them with comprehensive education.

The mobility has led to a significant increase in the linguistic, technical, and personal skills of both teachers and students, who, following their stay, have shown notable growth in their personal and professional maturity and autonomy.

Regarding employability, it's worth noting that one of the students who completed her mobility in Belgium was offered a summer job, and the rest of the students, in general, have received a higher number of and better-quality job offers.
