Sustainable Beekeeping as a Source of Rural Employment is a project implemented by the Pontevedra Provincial Council, co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) through the Empleaverde Program of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition. The project aims to improve employability in the beekeeping sector, especially for those with difficulties accessing the labor market.
What does the project consist of? It involves the implementation of in-person and hybrid training activities. The 12 training activities for Modern and Sustainable Beekeeping are detailed below.
In-person actions: Pontevedra (3 actions). Zaragoza (1 action).
Mixed Shares: Pontevedra (4 Shares). Zaragoza (4 Shares).
Recipients: The training activities will be aimed at unemployed people residing in the Autonomous Communities of Galicia and Aragon.

To train interested individuals in the implementation and maintenance of a modern beekeeping operation, providing information on possible production options and promoting new management and marketing approaches through the use of new technologies.
