Biodiversity Foundation Project: Change Makers

Description

CHANGE MAKERS is an initiative to support improved employability, primarily targeting young women through simulation processes, employing agile Lean Startup – Scrum methodologies, and collaborative project-based learning (sharing economy). Its objective is to acquire specialized auditing qualifications for production chains (circular economy 2.0) to facilitate the labor market integration of participants.

CHANGE MAKERS was designed to fill a gap in the implementation of comprehensive job placement programs specializing in sustainable development. These programs identify, train, advise, and support young unemployed women, thus complementing the measures currently in place in the autonomous communities of Galicia and Asturias. We also consider the project a pilot project so that, in subsequent calls, it can be converted into a European Project for the qualification of the following training program: Environmental Auditor in Value Chain Optimization.

Description of activities

CHANGE MAKERS is organized into three phases of action (following the measures provided for in the Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Strategy):

  • PHASE I: IMPROVING INTERMEDIATION. Marketing and dissemination plan consisting of actions to attract, on the one hand, collaborating companies (82), and participants (82).
  • PHASE II: IMPROVING EMPLOYABILITY. Comprehensive training itinerary (60 hours) with three areas:
  1. Innovative qualification in the field of circular economy 2.0, which combines the principles of auditing and quality with the optimization of organizations' value chains (particularly in the agri-food sector) to improve the economic and environmental sustainability of companies.
  2. Agile methodologies such as “Lean” – “Scrum” – “Kanban” are used to develop process and production management in the value chain (based on new technologies) that optimize production processes (through its value-added methodology) and are essential for competently managing any organization's value chain.
  3. Essential personal skills to improve participants' employability, such as: Personal Branding, team building, communication, etc.
  • PHASE III: IMPROVING RECRUITMENT. Real-life labor market insights (company visits): information for implementing initiatives in companies that offer paid employment (intrapreneurship). 20 job placements, whether self-employed or employed.
