Description
The project aims to add value to olive pomace, a polluting byproduct of the olive oil industry, which is rich in bioactive compounds and nutrients. Strategies are proposed for its use in sectors such as food and agriculture, reducing management costs and environmental impact.
Results
Bioactive compounds from olive byproducts with neuroprotective potential against in vitro neurodegeneration models. Cream with encapsulated compounds that improves hydration and reduces blemishes compared to commercial creams. Complexes of bioactive compounds from olive byproducts with potential for cell migration.
