  • Type Project
  • Scope Autonómico
  • Autonomous community Murcia, Región de
  • Main source of financing NextGenerationEU
  • Project website Web del Proyecto
Description
The project aims to mitigate the effects of climate change on pig production by standardizing reproductive technologies and selecting embryos that are more resistant to heat. The goal is to create a biobank of blastocysts adapted to heat stress, thereby improving the sector's sustainability.
Results
Identification of sows better adapted to heat stress. Implementation of a standardized in vitro porcine embryo production system, validated in Spain and Norway. Evaluation of the quality of embryos produced under heat conditions vs. normal conditions.
