Description
The AGROBIOREC project develops biostimulants from winemaking waste to improve agricultural sustainability. It aims to mitigate saline stress in crops such as lettuce, reduce agro-industrial waste, and promote practices aligned with the circular economy and climate adaptation.
Contextual description
Agriculture faces the challenge of reducing its environmental impact and adapting to climate change, especially to salinity stress, which affects horticultural crops. The wine sector generates large quantities of waste that pose an environmental challenge.
Results
Plant extract with biostimulant activity. Application protocol for extracts derived from these by-products to improve germination and development. Characterization of bioactive compounds according to grape variety and type of by-product for their valorization.
