Description
Production of natural preservatives of wild origin under organic farming practices. Generation and production of natural preservative products under organic farming practices from wild selections originating in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, destined for the agri-food industry.
Results
A positive relationship has been observed between the antioxidant and antifungal activity of essential oils from the Lamiaceae family against Penicillium digitatum and P. italicum. Good antifungal capacity (60.50 ± 5.77 mm for P. digitatum and 54.33 ± 2.93 mm for P. italicum) has been observed for the essential oil of Thymus zygis subsp. sylvestris.
