Description

Technological Modernization and Innovation for Traditional Sectors in the SUDOE Region. Our project aims to modernize the economic sectors of the SUDOE region, with a special focus on the agri-food and plastics industries. We seek to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and innovation to less developed areas and traditional and artisanal sectors, where conventional automation is not feasible.

Description of activities

To achieve these objectives, we will implement various initiatives:

  • Creation of an exchange network between entities of the science and technology system (SCT) for the transfer of knowledge and technology to SMEs.
  • Development of new collaborative robot applications adapted to the needs of traditional sectors.
  • Use of innovative technologies for object manipulation and support in demanding tasks. Implementation in real-world production environments, such as meat cutting, fruit packaging, and doll assembly.
  • Creation of three “living labs” to promote the solutions developed and facilitate their adoption in other sectors and SMEs in the territory.
  • Cooperation and territorial impact

Collaboration between innovation centers and local communities will be key to achieving territorial rebalancing, fostering innovation transfer, and strengthening economic activity in the region. Transnational cooperation is essential, as the challenges faced by the sectors covered are similar, but the level of knowledge and skills varies among the different entities. Working together will allow us to develop more effective and innovative solutions. The innovative nature of the project lies in the application of advanced artificial intelligence and collaborative robotics technologies, adapted to traditional and artisanal sectors.

Objectives

We aim to improve competitiveness and foster the growth of SMEs through collaborative robotics solutions. These technologies will enable us to address specific challenges in the region while ensuring respect for the environment. By integrating innovation into local development, we seek to improve the quality of life and increase the attractiveness of rural areas in southwestern Europe. Our actions
