Abstract
Diseases caused by viruses are responsible for reduced crop yields and significant economic losses. Breeding plant species resistant to different viruses through genetic improvement is the only effective method of control, combined with preventive hygiene practices in cultivation techniques.
Objectives
The objective of the project is to apply preventive cultural control strategies for viruses that improve the productivity of the pilot farms, first, and subsequently that of the rest of the horticultural farms, thereby improving the chili subsector in Gipuzkoa.
