ENOMAQ-OLEOMAQ-EBEER and TECNOVID-OLEOTEC 2025 already have winners of the Technological Improvements and Innovations Competition

The Jury of the ENOMAQ-OLEOMAQ-EBEER and TECNOVID-OLEOTEC Technological Improvements and Innovations Contest met last Friday, November 28, at the Feria de Zaragoza facilities to deliberate and designate the winners in each category for the 2025 edition. The Jury is chaired by Mr. Ernesto Franco Aladrén and made up of Mr. Juan Cacho Palomar, Mr. Luis Sanz Tejedor, Mr. Juan Sagarna García, Mr. José Luis Chueca Sancho and Mr. Pedro Arnal Atares, who also acts as Secretary.

In accordance with the terms of the call, which establish that the designation of innovation or improvement be awarded to those products or services that stand out for their technological contribution, innovation and results, the jury agreed to award the ENOMAQ-OLEOMAQ-EBEER 2025 Technological Innovation to:
- Biosystems Biotech Spain (Barcelona, Spain), for its “Complete allergen detection system in wine and by-products” which consists of a simple methodology using nanoparticles for the detection of allergens in wines and by-products.

- Cork Supply España, SL (La Rioja, Spain), for “Legacy” which uses electromagnetic images combined with AI to measure the oxygen transmission rate of each cork and consequently its classification.

- Fermentis – Division of Fermentis – Division of SI Lesafre (Marcq en Baroeul – France), for “SpringFixTM Mousy - yeast derivatives”, a simple technical solution to totally or partially eliminate the mouse taste.

- LASI, SRL (Meolo, Italy), for its “Rotating isobaric tank” to which they have incorporated a new sparkling winemaking system to the two classic ones.

- Tonnelelerie JM Gonçalves (Palacoulo, Portugal) for “Onyx System, Aqua System and Onyx Fusion”, with which they have incorporated an alternative barrel toasting system to the traditional ones.

- Parsec, SRL (Siesto Fiorentino, Italy) for “ADC ML” with its innovative in-situ monitoring system for malolactic degradation.

- Amorim Cork, SA (Santa María de Lamas, Portugal) for “Bee W®”, with its coating of cork stoppers using polymers of natural origin.

The jury also determined that New Holland (Madrid, Spain) was the winner of the TECNOVID-OLEOTEC 2025 Technological Innovation Award for “SmartSteer and CustomSteer in New Holland Braud grape harvesters”, a grape harvester guidance management system that facilitates manoeuvring and is independent of the GPS signal.

Regarding the ENOMAQ-OLEOMAQ-EBEER 2025 Technological Improvements, the Jury determined the following winners:

- ANTON PAAR SPAIN, SLU (Madrid, Spain) for its “Fermentation Monitor” with easy installation and handling of the beer fermentation process monitoring system.

- EKINSA (EQUIPAMIENTOS INDUSTRIALES, SA, Castejón, Spain) for “Lavabarricas Innovac”, a portable device that facilitates work ergonomics for the operator.

- FIXEDTOP (Soluciones en Plástico el Ventorrillo SL, Ibi, Spain) for “Hands-Free Tap”, a device that facilitates handling and therefore dispensing of the product.

- HTS ENOLOGY (HTS Enologia di Luigi Scavone, Marsala, Italy) for “Avaferm® Spark”, a device that controls and monitors the second fermentation in large containers.

- PLÁSTICOS VICENT - SMURFIT WESTROCK (Ibi, Spain) by “Vitop Uno” which provides a guarantee that the product has not been manipulated.

- RIVERCAP, SA (Lapuebla de Labarca, Spain) for “Symbiosis” with its contribution to sustainability by replacing plastic material with paper.

- SIPREM INTERNATIONAL SPA (Pesaro, Italy) for “Carbon Dioxide Recycling”, a system designed and adapted to work with inert gas.

- PARSEC, SRL (Siesto Fiorentino, Italy) for “EVO2FERM”, which controls and monitors fermentation.

The winners in the Technological Improvements category of TECNOVID-OLEOTEC 2025 were also named:

- Mollificio Bortolussi SRL (Fiume Veneto, Italy) for “PINNE for vineyard posts INFINITY”, which showcases a simple and effective system to prevent twisting in the head posts and increase stability without the need for tensioners.

- RINIERI SRL (Forli, Italy) for the “MEGLIO fertilizer spreader”, which separates both sides of the fertilizer with its two nozzles, facilitating localized application of fertilizer by rows.

The awards ceremony will take place on February 11, 2025 at the Auditorium of the Zaragoza Fair during the 24th edition of the event. In addition to their recognition, the winners will receive various promotional and visibility actions from ENOMAQ 2025.
ENOMAQ also has the ENOMAQ 2025 Excellence Awards, OLEOMAQ 2025 Excellence Awards, E-BEER 2025 Excellence Awards and the Oenologist Award, Oil Mill Excellence Award and Master Brewer Award, for which nominations can still be submitted until December 10 through the official website of the competition. The awards will be announced on December 17 and the results will be made public on January 9, 2025.
