Annual Competition for European Fund Projects
Description
The deadline for submitting applications to the Annual Competition for European Funds Projects closes on June 6th. The Ministry of Finance , through the General Secretariat for European Funds (SGFE) , is organizing this year again to raise awareness among citizens about the results and added value of the support of European funds in Spain. The competition aims to select, reward, communicate and disseminate projects that have received funding from European funds, in this case EAFRD and EAGF . In addition, for the first time, projects from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) , financed by the Recovery and Resilience Facility ( Next Generation Funds – EU) , may also be submitted.
Projects can be submitted in the following categories:
1. #EuropeFeelsCompetitive category , where projects focused on industrial transformation, support for SMEs, research promotion, and digitalization can compete.
2. #EuropeFeelsGreen category , where projects focused on, among other things, the energy transition, the fight against climate change, sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, environmental rehabilitation, biodiversity, the circular economy, and the efficient use of resources can compete.
3. #EuropeFeelsConnected category , from the perspective of the transport of goods and the mobility of people. Projects focused on sustainable mobility, environmentally friendly transport, intermodality, the efficient and safe movement of people, and effective and secure border management, among others, can compete in this category.
4. The #EuropeFeelsSocial category will cover projects that seek to promote: equal access to employment with fair working conditions; entrepreneurship and improved employability; education, training, and lifelong learning; social inclusion and the fight against poverty; equal access to healthcare; culture and sustainable tourism; non-discrimination and gender equality; work-life balance; the integration of people from vulnerable or marginalized groups into the labor market; and actions related to asylum, migration, and return.
5. #EuropeFeelsClose category , where projects aimed at the sustainable and inclusive development of urban and rural areas, or supporting local and regional strategies that help address specific development challenges in certain areas, can compete.
6. #EuropeMovesYou category , which addresses a topic of particular interest that represents a future global challenge. This year's category will be dedicated to Resilience and will include projects that contribute to an organization or system's adaptation to adverse situations with positive results.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food encourages all innovation projects and operational groups, both regional and supra-regional, whose projects have been implemented, regardless of the programming period, to apply and participate.
