The proposed Innovation Project aims to develop a methodology and a series of tools to improve the profitability of cattle farms in the Principality of Asturias by generating added value in suckling calves that are not going to be kept for rearing on the farms themselves.
To this end, the project proposes optimizing management protocols on farms of origin, transferring them to a specialized center where the incidence of diseases is controlled and nutritional and health management is supervised by a team of professionals applying innovative techniques for early diagnosis and monitoring of development and health status.
This would ensure that sales to fattening farms take place once the animals have reached the development and health standards required by the market.
