Operational Group: Food quality and assurance in short-term marketing channels in Andalusia

  • Type Operational group
  • Execution 2017
  • Assigned Budget 5.000,00 €
  • Scope Autonómico
  • Autonomous community Andalucía
  • Main source of financing PEPAC 2014-2020
Description

Short-term marketing channels are proliferating, where sales are made either directly or through a single intermediary.

In these cases, there is a problem with the traceability of the products put into circulation because existing food quality traceability systems provide information on the origin of the products, but they do not adapt to marketing mechanisms such as direct sales or short-term marketing channels.

Objectives
  • Design a traceability system adapted to the specificities of short marketing channels.
  • To investigate whether traceability systems designed for short food marketing channels exist in other EU countries, identifying their main characteristics.
  • To explore the social map of actors involved in the development of short food marketing channels in Andalusia, as well as the types of short channels currently being developed.
  • To share and agree on the basic principles that govern the short food marketing channels being developed in Andalusia.
  • Design and develop a participatory process for designing a traceability system adapted to the reality of short food marketing channels in Andalusia.
  • Test and validate the designed traceability system.
