Description

The project “Moving towards a digital model for zero waste in the agri-food sector” developed by the The PDApp Operational Group is reaching its final phase. To showcase all the achievements and milestones reached, it has organized, among other activities, three days of results dissemination.

These sessions will take place in the next January 29 in Vigo , February 5 in Torre Pacheco (Murcia) and February 12 in Palafolls (Barcelona) .

The sessions are primarily aimed at representatives of organizations across the entire value chain, both those that generate food loss and waste, as well as those that receive and recover these losses, to promote the adoption of the solutions achieved and encourage their implementation. They are also aimed at other stakeholders, such as innovation and research centers, public administrations, and specialized press.

The workshops will detail the support service developed by the GO PDApp to digitize Loss and Waste Prevention Plans and will feature firsthand testimonials from companies already working with the digital platform created by the project, which facilitates the exchange of surpluses and guarantees their traceability. The benefits of using it to reduce and maximize food loss and waste will also be demonstrated. The latest legislative developments regarding the Food Loss and Waste Prevention Act will also be discussed.
