IFEMA has just presented the new SAGRIS fair, the Agriculture and Livestock Fair , which is scheduled for May 8-10, 2025, supported by the main agricultural organizations in Spain. This event, organized at the IFEMA MADRID Fairgrounds with the collaboration of ALAS (Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture), an association that brings together the main agricultural organizations ASAJA , AEACSV , COAG , FEPEX , UPA and Agro-Food Cooperatives , will focus on three main axes: land, technology and people, with the aim of bringing society closer and raising awareness about the importance of the rural world.

With its participation, ALAS aims to contribute to the promotion of technological innovation, adaptation to climate change and the economic, environmental and social sustainability of the agri-food sector.

The mission of SAGRIS 2025

SAGRIS seeks to address current challenges in the sector, such as the implementation of innovative technologies , climate change and the need to attract new generations to the countryside. With a significant contribution to Spain's GDP and exports exceeding €70 billion in 2023, the agri-food sector is crucial to the country's economy.

Daniel Martínez, Executive Vice President of IFEMA MADRID, has highlighted the importance of SAGRIS as a project that promotes trade, industry and services, generating wealth and employment. For his part, Juan Ignacio Senovilla, President of ALAS, underlined the importance of agriculture and livestock farming in food security and environmental conservation.

Pedro Barato, President of the SAGRIS Organizing Committee, has emphasized the event's ability to bring together the agri-food sector and promote collaboration and the exchange of ideas; while Miguel Padilla, Secretary General of COAG, and Lorenzo Ramos, Secretary General of UPA, have agreed on the need for innovation and talent to ensure the long-term viability of the sector .
