The 27th edition of the Fertiberia Award for the best doctoral thesis on agricultural topics is open until May 30, 2025.
This award, a benchmark in agricultural research since 1996, promotes the responsible use of fertilizers in line with sustainable development. Its objective is to recognize academic excellence in studies defended at universities in Spain and Portugal in the field of fertilization and agronomy.
Organized in collaboration with the National Council of Institutes of Technology (COIACC) and the Polytechnic University of Madrid , it has received more than 500 theses from 50 universities and awarded prizes totaling more than €500,000 . With an annual prize of €30,000 , it is one of the most prestigious and best-paid prizes in Europe in its field.
27th Edition – Requirements
Theses must address topics related to fertilization, soils, and amendments, and must have been defended the previous academic year with a "cum laude" grade in Spain or its equivalent in Portugal.
