The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) has opened the application period for training placements under the Cultiva 2025 program.
Description
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food has opened the application period for young people interested in training placements on agricultural and livestock farms as part of the Cultiva 2025 program.
The catalog of farms offering training placements, with detailed information on the characteristics of each, is published on the Ministry's website at this link . It also includes a search engine that allows you to select placements by territory, dates, and agricultural production.
The deadline to submit the application, through the ministry's website, is July 9.
The young people's accommodation, food, and transportation expenses during their training stays are covered by the Cultiva program. They will also receive compensation for the costs of having their farm cared for and managed by a third party.
The model host farms are distributed throughout the autonomous communities and stand out for being benchmarks in terms of innovation, production resources, business model, and social, environmental, and climatic characteristics.
The stays offered are organized by the program's collaborating entities, which are the Agrarian Association of Young Farmers (Asaja), the Association of Celtic Pig Breeders (Asoporcel), Agri-food Cooperatives of Spain, the Coordinator of Farmers and Ranchers Organizations (COAG), the San Isidro Micas Foundation (FSIM), the Union of Family Agrarian Schools (UNEFA), the Union of Small Farmers and Ranchers (UPA), and the Union of Farmers and Ranchers (UDU).
REQUIREMENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN CULTIVA
The Cultiva program's training placements are available to all young agricultural professionals who own farms up to the age of 40, and to those 41 or older who have set up shop in the last five years.
Young people can choose farms with the same or different production levels as their own, regardless of the sector, and located anywhere in the country.
If you have participated in the program in previous years, you cannot attend internships you have already attended.
All information about this call and previous editions of the Cultiva program is available in the Generational Change section of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food website.
