The AKIS Advisory Platform launches its open data API for the agri-food sector.

The AKIS Advisors Platform , promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) , has launched a new open data API that will allow registered users to download and reuse content related to the agri-food sector in Spain.

With this tool, the platform strengthens its role as a meeting and knowledge exchange center among the various stakeholders in the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS), known internationally as AKIS . This system brings together organizations, institutions, and individuals that generate and use knowledge for agriculture and related areas, including rural communities, food and non-food systems, biodiversity, the environment, climate, and consumers.

The new API will allow most of the platform's content—such as news, events, courses, Operational Groups, training centers, and other resources—to be extracted in JSON format, excluding only advisor listings. It will also include a user manual and a dedicated website, adapted to the usual standards for this type of technological tool.
