On October 28, 2025 , the Casa de la Cultura in Caspe (Zaragoza) will host a new technical conference on digitalization in the agri-food sector under the title "Use of drones and other images to improve resource efficiency."

The event, which will be held at the Salón de Arcos (C/ Guma 35, 50700 Caspe) , will offer a comprehensive introduction to the use of remote sensing technologies, drones and image analysis applied to precision agriculture, with the aim of improving the management of agricultural resources and optimizing decisions in the field .

The session will be led by Jorge Alastrue Azón , an expert in agricultural digitalization and drone applications in agricultural environments, who will guide attendees through three thematic sections:

Detailed program:

  • 5:00–6:00 PM | Introduction to the world of drones and the current context. Legislation, regulations, and aviation safety.

This session is part of the technical workshops on digitalization for the agri-food sector , aimed at farmers, advisors, cooperatives, technicians, and professionals interested in learning how new technologies are transforming traditional agriculture into a more sustainable, profitable, and data-driven model .

The use of drones and other digital tools allows us not only to reduce the consumption of water, fertilizers, and phytosanitary products , but also to detect problems in a timely manner, analyze crop health, and make more precise decisions thanks to the interpretation of aerial images and vigor maps.

These workshops are part of the commitment to accelerate the digital transformation of the primary sector , contributing to the development of a more innovative and resilient agri-food ecosystem .
