On Wednesday, February 11, 2026 , the LAKTIS project will hold the 2nd Edition of its Final Days in Villar (Asturias) : Discussion of results of practical cases and assessment of mitigation strategies by farm type , a key meeting to share conclusions and lessons learned from the work developed in dairy cattle farms.

The event will be held in a hybrid format (in person and online via Teams) , from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Analysis of results and sector participation

The meeting aims to share the results obtained from all farms participating in the LAKTIS project and evaluate the effectiveness of different mitigation strategies , taking into account the type of farm. It is geared towards dairy professionals, technical staff, researchers, and organizations involved in innovation and sustainable livestock farming.

The opening remarks and contextualization of the day will be provided by the Medrar Innovation Office team. This will be followed by a round table discussion on the project's results, moderated by Rubén Hidalgo ( CAPSA Food ) , with the participation of technical staff from AGACA , the University of Santiago de Compostela , ODOS , Gregorio Salcedo , and Solid Forest .

Collective construction and technical visits

The program will include a participatory activity aimed at defining content for a future White Guide , promoting the active involvement of all attendees. After refreshments and a networking session , featuring displays of banners and infographics for related projects, the day will conclude with a technical visit to a biomethane plant (Biogastur) and/or a livestock farm belonging to the CLAS group , details of which are yet to be confirmed.
