The LAKTIS project is holding its final sessions in Ames to discuss results and mitigation strategies in dairy farms

Next Tuesday, February 10, 2026 , the LAKTIS project will hold its Final Conference in Ames (A Coruña) : Discussion of results of practical cases and assessment of mitigation strategies by farm type , a key meeting to share learnings and conclusions of the work developed in dairy cattle farms.
The event will be held in a hybrid format (in person and online via Teams) and will take place at CLUN Ames (Aldea Ponte Maceira, s/n, 15864 Ames, A Coruña), from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
A space to analyze results and advance sustainability
The main objective of the meeting is to share the results obtained from the farms participating in the LAKTIS project , as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of the different mitigation strategies applied, depending on the type of farm. The event is aimed at professionals in the livestock sector, technical staff, researchers, and organizations involved in innovation and sustainability in the dairy industry.
The opening remarks and contextualization of the day will be provided by the Medrar Innovation Office team, followed by a round table discussion presenting the overall results of the project. This session will be moderated by AGACA and will include the participation of technical staff from AGACA, the University of Santiago de Compostela , ODOS , Gregorio Salcedo , and Solid Forest .
Challenges in the dairy sector and collective knowledge building
The program also includes the presentation “Current situation of the dairy livestock sector and future challenges in sustainability” , which will be given by Anouchka Biel Canedo , head of service of the General Sub-Directorate of Livestock and Hunting Productions of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food .
After the aperitif and networking area, which will include an exhibition of banners and infographics from other related projects, the day will continue with a participatory dynamic aimed at defining content for a future White Guide , encouraging the active involvement of all attendees.
The meeting will conclude with a visit to livestock facilities , which will allow participants to learn firsthand about practical experiences related to the project's work.
