Field Demonstration Day on Pruning Woody Crops on May 28 in Ainzón (Zaragoza)

Next Wednesday, May 28, 2025, a field demonstration day on pruning in woody crops will be held, organized by UPA-Aragón and the company Aljemi , in Ainzón (Zaragoza). The day will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a reception of attendees by a UPA-Aragón technician. At 9:15 a.m., Juan Pablo Bellido (Aljemi) will offer a practical talk on the management of almond trees , one of the most important woody species in Aragonese agriculture. Starting at 10:00 a.m., a field demonstration of pruning techniques will be held, including everything from conventional methods to new trends and high-density systems , led by specialized UPA-Aragón technicians. This practical part will allow attendees to observe firsthand the different strategies and their real-life application in plantations . The day will conclude with a Spanish wine tasting at 1:30 p.m., an ideal opportunity for industry professionals to exchange views.
Admission is free until capacity is reached , and a broad participation of farmers, technicians, and companies interested in improving the management of their woody crops through innovative pruning practices is expected.
