DemoDay of the Food(Tech)² Challengers program: innovation and foodtech talent at the MAPA headquarters

The General Sub-Directorate of Innovation and Digitalization of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) and the National Center for Food Technology and Safety (CNTA) will hold the DemoDay of the Food(Tech)² Challengers program on November 19 , a day in which the results of the five startups selected in the fifth edition of this technological boost program for the agri-food sector will be presented.
A benchmark program for foodtech innovation
The Food(Tech)² Challengers , funded by MAPA and led by CNTA, aims to accelerate the technological development and competitiveness of Spanish foodtech startups , strengthening their innovative capacity and their connection with the market.
Since its creation in 2021 , the program has selected a group of emerging startups each year to improve their technological capabilities through access to:
- The scientific capabilities, equipment and experience of the CNTA team.
- Personalized mentoring to bring innovation closer to the end consumer.
- Institutional visibility and opportunities to connect with the market.
- Development of proprietary intellectual property (IP) and technological solutions.
A day to discover applied innovation
During DemoDay , the five participating companies will present their advances, solutions and prototypes developed during the program, offering a vision of the emerging trends and technologies that will shape the future of the food industry: from biotechnology and functional ingredients to digitalization, traceability and sustainability of production processes.
This event will also be an opportunity to connect startups, investors, technology centers and representatives of the agri-food sector , strengthening the innovation ecosystem around the food of the future.
