COAG Almería is promoting a workshop to foster generational change in agriculture.

The Coordinator of Farmers and Ranchers' Organizations (COAG) is organizing a technical workshop entitled "Stimulating Generational Change. Incorporating Young People and Women into Agricultural Activity," which will be held on July 31, 2025, in El Ejido (Almería) , specifically at 94 Zorrilla Street .

The event seeks to raise awareness about the importance of supporting generational change in the agricultural sector, emphasizing the active incorporation of young people and women into the agri-food sector.

Program of activities:

• 10:00 a.m .: Official inauguration by Andrés Góngora Belmonte, Provincial Secretary of COAG Almería, and Eduardo López Fernández, representative of the Agrarian Youth of COAG Almería.
• 10:30 a.m .: Keynote presentation on the establishment of young farmers, given by Víctor Aza Magdaleno, specialized technician at COAG Almería.
• 11:15 a.m .: Time for questions and requests.
• 11:30 a.m .: Break.
• 11:45 a.m .: Roundtable with real-life success stories from generational change.
• 12:30 p.m .: Digital presentations on innovative technologies applied to the sector:
  • "Oxygenation Equipment for Sustainable Agriculture" , by Marcos Parra, Co-CEO of BIHOX Almería.
  • "Precision Agricultural Technology" , by Inmaculada Rodríguez Manzano, Technical Advisor at IKOS.
• 1:30 p.m .: Round table to discuss conclusions and future proposals.
