Precision Livestock Farming: Strategies and Tools

Registration is open for the second edition of the online course "Precision Livestock Farming: Strategies and Tools" organized by the University of Salamanca from October 15 to 30, 2025, until capacity is reached.

The course is aimed at professionals in the agricultural and agri-food sectors , as well as members of cooperatives, agricultural business associations, rural development groups, agricultural organizations, and public administration personnel . The objective is to equip participants with key knowledge and skills to face the challenges of digitalization and technological transformation in the livestock sector .

Course objectives

• Maximizing animal welfare as the main axis of the production chain.
• Optimize the use of inputs to improve economic profitability and environmental sustainability .
• Implement sensors and automation systems that streamline and optimize production processes.
• Increase the traceability of animal products at all stages of production.
• Guarantee the highest quality in livestock processes and products.
• Acquire practical knowledge to digitalize a livestock farm .
