Plant Protection Product Applicator. Basic Level.
Description
The objective of this course is to train plant protection treatment assistants, farmers who carry out treatments on their own farms without assistance, and distribution staff, so they acquire fundamental knowledge about pests, plant protection products, and their use, avoiding risks to applicators, the public, and the environment, in accordance with Royal Decree 1311/2012. We will place special emphasis on all available strategies in plant production to make the use of chemical products unnecessary or minimize it. We will see how we can apply biological pest control strategies. Online/blended learning format.
Course that qualifies you to obtain the Basic Level Phytosanitary Product Applicator Card.
METHODOLOGY OF DELIVERY
- This online course, which combines online and in-person instruction, will be delivered through the Zaragoza Dinámica online training campus (16 hours) with face-to-face sessions at the Río Gállego Training Center (9 hours).
- This training course includes two in-person sessions, an initial and a final session, in a virtual classroom, and two mandatory in-person days of 5 hours and 4 hours at the Río Gállego Training Center.
- Without attending the mandatory sessions, it is not possible to obtain the diploma.
Recipients
Unemployed individuals registered with INAEM employment offices, agricultural workers, the self-employed, or those on furlough (ERTE), as well as young people interested in joining agroecological production, are welcome to apply. Prior experience in the Aragonese agri-food sector will be considered an asset.

The Río Gállego Center provides training in the areas of environment, gardening, nursery management, agriculture, forestry, floral art and leisure in specialties that correspond to the demands of the labor market.
