Plant protection product applicator. Basic level.

The call for applications is now open for the course “Phytosanitary Product Applicator. Basic Level” , essential training for all those who work in the agricultural sector and need to obtain official certification for the safe and responsible use of phytosanitary products.

This course is aimed at farmers, farm staff, operators and workers in the agri-food sector , especially those who wish to start applying plant protection products in compliance with current regulations on food safety, environmental protection and occupational risk prevention .

Throughout the training, participants will acquire fundamental knowledge about:

• Risks arising from the use of plant protection products and protective measures.
• Good agricultural practices in handling, application and storage.
• Labeling, packaging and updated regulations .
• Integrated pest management (IPM) as a mandatory approach in modern agriculture.
• Procedures for cleaning, calibrating and maintaining application equipment .

Successful completion of the course will allow you to obtain the official Basic Level Plant Protection Product Applicator card , which is mandatory for carrying out treatments on your own farm and for handling certain authorized products.

This training responds to the growing need to ensure a safer, more sustainable and efficient use of plant protection products, in line with the requirements established by national and European regulations.
