Description
A new specialized training course on the use of drones in agriculture will begin in Villacarrillo on Monday, January 12th , and will run until February 27th, 2026. This training program is aimed at agricultural professionals interested in incorporating advanced technology and new digital skills into their work.
The course will be held in the afternoon, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday . Exceptionally, during the last week of February (from the 23rd to the 27th) , the training will be delivered in an intensive morning and afternoon session , from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM , in order to cover the necessary theoretical and practical content.
The main objective of this training is to obtain the STS-01 Drone Pilot Certificate , issued by the Spanish State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) , as well as the Plant Protection Product Applicator – Pilot Level qualification , awarded by IFAPA . Both accreditations are key for the professional and safe use of drones in agricultural tasks, especially in plant protection applications.
Throughout the course, participants will acquire knowledge related to current regulations , the safe operation of drones , flight planning , as well as the responsible handling of plant protection products , integrating technology and sustainability into the management of agricultural holdings.
This training is part of the effort to promote the digitalization of the agri-food sector , encouraging the use of innovative tools that improve efficiency, reduce environmental impact and strengthen the competitiveness of farmers and technicians.
