iRiego is organizing the second in-person course on Agriculture 4.0 in Villares de Órbigo (León).
Description
On October 23 and 24, 2025 , iRiego will hold the second edition of the course "Digitalization of Precision Agriculture, Agriculture 4.0" in Villares de Órbigo (León) .
This free in-person training program is aimed at farmers, technicians, and students in the agri-food sector. Its objective is to educate them on the proper use of digital tools currently available in the agricultural sector. These technologies help reduce the digital divide, optimize production processes, and move toward a more efficient, sustainable, and climate-resilient agricultural model.
Teachers and methodology
The course will be taught by Case IH professionals and Laura del Pozo (iRiego) , combining theoretical sessions, practical simulations, and field demonstrations.
Course structure
With a total duration of 16 hours , the program includes:
- Matchday 1 (October 23):
- Introduction to the use of GPS and self-guidance systems.
- Terrain mapping and data analysis techniques.
- ISOBUS technology and implement control.
- Implement management in precision agriculture and use of VRT.
- Web applications and digital tools for agricultural management.
- Networking food.
- Matchday 2 (October 24):
- Field demonstrations of GPS, autoguidance, mapping, and ISOBUS.
- Common troubleshooting and system maintenance.
