Introduction to Data Spaces and Applications in the AgriFoodTech Sector
Description
Until September 9, you can register for this online course, which will offer a comprehensive overview of data spaces from the perspective of the challenges they solve, the benefits they provide, and the implications of their implementation, considering specific aspects of the agri-food sector . It will also review key European initiatives and technological standards that should be considered when implementing data spaces.
Through its communication on the European Data Strategy, published on February 19, 2020, the European Commission announced that, to accelerate the development of the European economy and harness the value of data for the benefit of society, it would invest in common European data spaces in strategic economic sectors and areas of public interest. One of these sectors is the agriculture, fisheries, and food sector. Data spaces are ecosystems created to create value from the sharing and use of both data and data services . They are supported by governance that, among other things, establishes which technologies to adopt to ensure interoperability at different levels, as well as secure, agile, and reliable exchange.
This course prepares you for the next training: FIWARE Technologies for Data Spaces in Depth.
