European workshop “Train the Trainer” on interactive innovation in the agri-food sector
Description
The European project ATTRACTISS will hold a new edition of its "Train the Trainer" training program from May 18-20, 2026, at the University of Pisa (Italy). This intensive 2.5-day workshop is aimed at agricultural advisors, innovation facilitators, and professionals interested in strengthening their skills in designing and implementing interactive innovation processes in multi-stakeholder environments.
The initiative, which still has places available, seeks to have a prominent Spanish participation, in line with the strategic role of advisors within the Knowledge and Innovation System in Agriculture (AKIS).
Practical training in interactive innovation
The program combines theoretical sessions with practical exercises, focusing on key methodologies such as Living Labs, Working Groups, and field trials. Throughout the workshop, participants will work with concrete tools to understand the innovation process, refine ideas from their initial phase to their complete formulation, and design effective communication and group facilitation strategies.
In addition, real-world innovation experiences implemented by the University of Pisa team will be shared, offering an applied and case-based perspective.
A space to connect and experience
The workshop's approach is highly participatory and action-oriented. Participants will have the opportunity to test tools, exchange knowledge with professionals from various European countries, and develop their own skills as facilitators of innovative processes.
The topics to be covered include:
- Innovation Support Services and their role in the AKIS
- Tools for analyzing and understanding innovative processes
- Strategies to encourage active participation of partners
- Group facilitation and energizing techniques
- Use of feedback tools
- Practical application of methodologies such as Living Labs and farm experimentation
Possible exchange visit
As a complement to the training program, a cross-visit is being considered to conclude the workshop, depending on the participants' interest. This activity would allow for firsthand knowledge of innovative experiences in the region.
Conditions of participation
Participation in the workshop is free. However, attendees will be responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and food expenses, while the organizers will provide training materials and lunches during the workshop.
