Description

This course aims to bring farmers closer to the knowledge of soil health, how to diagnose it, how management practices influence it, and how to monitor it.


Course Objectives

• Be aware of the complexity of the soil as a system and the importance of maintaining its health.
• To know the main physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil, their interrelation and importance in maintaining soil fertility and health.
• To understand in depth the importance of soil structure, and the carbon and nitrogen cycles as integral parts of soil health and fertility.
• To know the practices that degrade soil health and those that promote it.
• Be able to perform simple practices that allow you to assess soil health and monitor its evolution in relation to management practices.
