Description

The 20-hour in-person Animal Welfare in Transportation course trains transporters to transport animals in appropriate conditions, complying with current legislation.

By taking this course, you will acquire the fundamentals of good practices during animal transport, including loading, unloading, and handling, to ensure an adequate level of animal welfare.

In this course, accredited by the Andalusian Institute for Agricultural, Fisheries, Food, and Organic Production Research and Training (IFAPA), you will learn to:

  • Understand the needs and behavior of animals, identifying practical aspects when handling animals.
  • Determine the impact of management practices on animal welfare
  • Interpret state and regional regulations related to the transportation, care, exploitation, experimentation, cleaning and disinfection of animals
  • Identify the safety criteria for personnel who deal with animals
  • Knowing how to act in the event of an accident during animal transport
  • Identify the documentation for the transport of live animals.

GOALS:

To provide animal transporters and those responsible for animals during transport with knowledge of the skills required by current legislation to ensure animal welfare within the territorial scope of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia.
