5th edition of the Professional Expert Program in Biostimulants and Biocontrol

The Official College of Agricultural Engineers of Levante (COIAL) announces the 5th edition —and first of international scope— of the Professional Expert Program in Biostimulants and Biocontrol , an advanced and specialized training aimed at understanding and leading the transformation that current agriculture is experiencing in the field of plant health and special nutrition .
This program is designed as a comprehensive training initiative , combining scientific foundations, technological innovation, regulatory framework, and business management , offering a complete and applied overview of the agronutrient, biostimulant, and biocontrol solutions sector. The initiative is supported by the Spanish Association of Agronutrient Manufacturers (AEFA) and is a collaborative effort with the Valencian Institute of Agricultural Research (IVIA) , the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries , and EDEM Business School .
The course is aimed at both active professionals —agronomists, agricultural technicians, R&D managers, marketing or business development in companies of biostimulants, agronutrients, phytosanitary products or agricultural inputs— and recent graduates and people interested in joining the sector , from undergraduate, master's or doctoral studies in agricultural sciences.
The main objective of the program is for students to acquire a global and strategic vision of the sector , covering everything from the biological and biotechnical control of pests and diseases, plant nutrition and physiology, biofertilization and phytostimulation, to the applicable regulations , communication , consultative selling , ICT tools , applied artificial intelligence and the development of trials and practical cases , including direct meetings with companies.
The training program consists of 296 hours of instruction , distributed across 79 days , using a blended learning methodology that combines in-person sessions, live online classes , and pre-recorded content, facilitating the participation of professionals from diverse backgrounds and locations. The program will feature a faculty of over 80 instructors , all with extensive professional and teaching experience.
Registration will be open from November 10, 2025, to January 13, 2026. The course will begin on January 13, 2026 , and end on March 5, 2027 , with a limit of 50 places . Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
Regarding the price, the registration fee is €3,750 for members of any professional association of agricultural engineers in Spain and employees of COIAL's partner organizations; €4,125 for employees of companies associated with AEFA; €4,500 for non-members; and €2,300 for alumni. The course is eligible for FUNDAE funding and offers the option of payment in installments .
With this new edition, COIAL consolidates this program as a benchmark training at the national and international level for professionals who wish to specialize and position themselves in one of the areas with the greatest potential in modern agriculture.
