3rd edition of the course “Digitalization of Precision Agriculture, Agriculture 4.0”
Description
The Villadangos Canal Irrigation Community , in Villadangos del Páramo (León) , will host the 3rd edition of the A2 PI.B1 course “Digitalization of Precision Agriculture, Agriculture 4.0” on March 23 and 24, 2026 , a 16-hour face-to-face training focused on key tools to advance in precision agriculture and data-driven management.
The course will feature the participation of the company Case and Laura del Pozo as teachers and will combine technical content with practical simulations and a demonstration visit to test fields , covering everything from the use of GPS and autoguidance to technologies such as ISOBUS and variable rate technology (VRT) , as well as web applications linked to Agriculture 4.0.
Contents and objectives
The training is aimed at improving decision-making in the field through:
- Agricultural GPS and Autoguidance Systems : Configuration, Start-up and Practical Applications.
- Terrain mapping : data digitization, map creation and interpretation, and variability detection.
- ISOBUS technology : regulations, components, implement control, task documentation and troubleshooting.
- Implement management and VRT : compatibilities, calibration, use of geospatial data and post-operation analysis.
- Web applications for Agriculture 4.0 : monitoring, remote management and alternatives for the digitization of irrigated plots.
