SOSTENIC Biodiversity Foundation Project: Promotes the creation of sustainable economy technology companies

Description

The program seeks to train entrepreneurs from Andalusia and the Canary Islands in sustainability, promoting the creation of companies that foster the green economy in the agricultural, fishing, tourism, and industrial sectors, improving their resource efficiency.

The technology sector (ICT) has established itself as one of the most active in generating businesses in Spain and, in turn, has proven to be essential for achieving the 17 goals set by the 2030 agenda, as recognized by the UN.

The project will allow for a gradual evolution toward a more equitable and sustainable business activity. It is aimed at individuals from Andalusia (Cádiz, Jaén, Málaga, and Seville) and the Canary Islands (Las Palmas and Tenerife) interested in entrepreneurship. They will receive training and advice on how to launch their green technology project, focusing on various sectors: sustainable agriculture and livestock, aquaculture and fishing, sustainable tourism, management, environmental improvement, and eco-innovation in industry or business. The project's activities consist of 18 in-person training sessions, one remote consultation, and two social innovation initiatives.

Participants will receive specialized training in 4.0 business tools after prior business pre-acceleration training. Furthermore, the project is aligned with the Just Transition Strategy of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, which focuses on facilitating the use of employment and social cohesion opportunities generated by the ecological transition of the economy.
