Description
The host organizations are a total of 15, each from Portugal, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Estonia, and Finland. Regarding the types of organizations, there are ten educational centers offering agricultural vocational training and several organizations that are businesses. Of these, one is a Natural Park, and the other three are businesses that range from intensive livestock farming, a nursery, an agritourism company, and a super-intensive olive growing company.
Description of activities
- The sending organization: Promoting the program for broad dissemination and participation. Fair selection based on merit and prior student preparation.
- Courses: linguistic, occupational risk prevention, and vocational training.
- Mentoring and document management prior to mobility. Participants will be handed over their corresponding mentoring and agreed-upon training program.
- Certification and accreditation after mobility.
- Dissemination of results.
- Optimization of the improvements acquired through the implementation of new work and training methodologies.
- Host organizations: Establish training agreements. Provide support to participants based on their needs. Implement training programs for cultural, linguistic, and occupational safety.
- Mentoring students during the internship period. Finding companies, if applicable, for practical training for participants. Certification and issuance of documentation proving the training period.
Results
- Internationalization of the Center and reinforcement of the language learning interests of the entire educational community and the improvement of the professional skills and competencies of participating students.
- Increasing the employability of our students and the impact this training will have on the companies that hire them.
- Positive impact at the local level: In the area, several companies will see their international reach improved thanks to the hiring of technicians with enhanced training and communication skills thanks to their training experience in EU countries. There is also an impact at the local level, as our center's area of influence and the large number of companies it interacts with make this project a useful tool for these companies.
- In this way, training and knowledge will be disseminated to the rest of the educational and vocational training community through the use of educational platforms, open days and conferences, publications in agricultural extension journals, and other outreach activities.
