Biodiversity Foundation Project: Towards more sustainable agriculture: techniques for reducing the impacts of irrigation within and outside the Natura 2000 Network

Training courses and advice will be provided for the conservation and promotion of biodiversity, and the inclusion of sustainable practices for soil conservation and the reduction of pollutants derived from agrochemicals, especially nitrates, ensuring compliance with European regulations on nitrates and the conservation of waterways and biodiversity, the creation of native hedges in agricultural areas, and the differentiation of agricultural products through sustainability.

Objectives

The project aims to improve the sustainability of agriculture in the southeastern Iberian Peninsula through training and advice for farmers, technicians, and other workers in the sector, promoting a more efficient and environmentally friendly production model, and reducing the impact of intensive agriculture on the Natura 2000 Network.
