InfoAdapta-Agri is a climate change adaptation project in the agricultural sector.
The project's main objective is to disseminate specific climate change adaptation practices among agricultural professionals, fostering flexibility among farmers and ranchers when making decisions about their farms. To this end, four sectoral manuals have been developed that cover these measures: dryland herbaceous crops, irrigated herbaceous crops, livestock farming, and woody crops.
These manuals are supported by an informative brochure summarizing the project's actions. In parallel, a 20-hour online course based on the information in the manuals has been launched. In addition, 55 outreach talks have been held throughout Spain, with the aim of training and informing farmers and ranchers about climate change adaptation. To this end, technicians from the different UPA territories have been previously trained, providing them with the necessary knowledge to share in the workshops. Finally, a final presentation of the InfoAdapta-Agri results was held, which received an overwhelming response due to the interest the project has generated among industry professionals. This workshop was attended by farmers and ranchers who shared their experiences and the measures they are currently using to mitigate the effects of climate change.
Inform, communicate, raise awareness, and train farmers and ranchers on concrete measures they can implement on their farms to mitigate the negative effects of climate change.
