Biodiversity Foundation Project: Green Challenge

Description

The project focuses on improving the skills and qualifications of employees in the areas of sustainability, green entrepreneurship, and digitalization, to address the challenges of the energy, circular, and environmental transition.

The GREEN CHALLENGE Project includes training, advisory services, meetings, and innovation initiatives aimed at workers, paying special attention to women and priority groups (young people up to 35, people over 45, immigrants, people with disabilities, and residents of protected areas and/or rural areas). It focuses on improving the skills and qualifications of workers in sustainability issues. This project contributes to addressing major current challenges such as the crisis generated by COVID-19, biodiversity loss, climate change, and depopulation, promoting the construction of a more resilient and sustainable future. This project focuses on the Green Economy, Sustainability, Digitalization, and Eco-innovation of economic activities across all sectors as an opportunity to help workers who wish to improve their professional training overcome the challenges of the crisis generated by COVID-19, while promoting a just transition towards a low-carbon and circular economy.

Description of activities

Training activities, typified by training courses, consultancies, and social innovation initiatives, aim to promote the green economy and are aimed at working people with the goal of improving their employability and obtaining qualifications in sustainability and innovation.

This training program "GREEN CHALLENGE: Professional skills for green and sustainable jobs in innovative environments" includes 13 training courses (9 are distance learning and 4 are mixed) and 2 distance consultations.

Objectives

Promote the sustainability of economic activities across all sectors by promoting a just transition toward a low-carbon and circular economy, integrating biodiversity into business management and processes, and making more efficient use of natural resources, thus becoming an engine of sustainable economic growth and social progress.
