A project aimed at promoting green employment, co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Green Employment Program of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition.
The Andalusian Professional Association of Graduates in Environmental Sciences (COAMBA), as the beneficiary entity, launched the "Expert in Waste Management and the Circular Economy" project on November 1, 2019, as part of the 2019 call for applications for the employverde program.
The Ministry for Ecological Transition's "Employ Verde" Program is an initiative of the Biodiversity Foundation (FB) to promote and improve employment, entrepreneurship, and the environment. It is co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) within the framework of the Employment, Training, and Education Operational Program 2014-2020.
This project includes four in-person training sessions and four blended training sessions in the autonomous communities of the Region of Murcia and Andalusia, specifically in the cities of Murcia, Almería, Málaga, and Granada. It will run for one year (until November 2020).
The in-person training program will last 110 hours, while the blended training program, which includes two in-person sessions, will last 20 hours. These in-person sessions consist of a Business Model Development Seminar, focusing on the possibilities that the Circular Economy offers for creating business models or integrating sustainability into a given organization. The seminar will also focus on promoting personal skills through job interview simulations and CV defenses, preparing students to handle the various situations they may face when entering the workforce.
This project, aimed at unemployed people, has the general objective of providing training and quality employment. This initiative is co-financed by the ESF and is free of charge for the recipients.
With the aim of training unemployed people in waste management, understanding the current problems of waste and considering the circular economy as an opportunity for development and improvement, the "Expert in Waste Management and Circular Economy" Project is part of the "Green Economy" thematic block, whose objective is to create new models of sustainable production and consumption, which in turn generate social and environmental benefits in the region and thus promote the creation of new jobs.
