Biodiversity Foundation Project: Employs Verde Program

Description

It promotes job creation and green businesses. Taking advantage of the growth opportunities offered by the environment, it provides useful tools for workers and businesses, helping them improve and promote employment and facilitating entrepreneurial initiatives to develop their ideas and projects.

The Ministry for Ecological Transition's "Employs Verde" Program is an initiative of the Biodiversity Foundation to promote and improve employment, entrepreneurship, and the environment. It is co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) under the Employment, Training, and Education Operational Program 2014-2020 . Through the "Employs Verde" Program, the Biodiversity Foundation acts as a bridge between employment and environmental policy, with a dual objective:

  • Let the environment and sustainability be the foundations for better jobs and more competitive companies.
  • Let workers and businesses be key players in improving the environment.
    • Green economy , which contributes to the emergence of new models of sustainable production and consumption, generating social and environmental benefits in the region and promoting the creation of new jobs.
    • Blue economy , a concept that refers to an economy based on the sustainable development of the oceans. It contributes to international competitiveness, resource efficiency, job creation, and the emergence of new sources of growth, while safeguarding biodiversity.

Let the environment and sustainability be the foundations for better jobs and more competitive companies. Let workers and companies be key players in improving the environment.
