For almost a decade, there has been a growing trend in Europe toward adapting to the Circular Economy. This model aims for industrial ecosystems to emulate natural ecosystems, where waste generation is practically zero, as resources are almost completely reused in a permanent symbiosis.
For this paradigm shift to occur, action is required at every stage of the value chain: from raw materials to the consumption of goods and their subsequent reuse. This requires new technologies, processes, and business models. Likewise, a skilled workforce with specific skills is required to implement this paradigm shift in organizations and facilitate the transition from a linear to a circular model.
Therefore, it is essential to enhance the knowledge and skills of workers, in addition to adapting curricula and training courses to improve their qualifications. Course topics will include environmental management, energy management, water management, and waste recovery.
Geographical location: Andalusia and Murcia.
The project will have an impact on the Natura 2000 Network.
It runs at ITI Jaén and ITI Cádiz.
TARGETED AT: Working people. Priority will be given to women, young people up to 35 years old, people over 45 years old, immigrants, people with disabilities, and residents of protected areas and/or rural zones.
The project's objective is to create green jobs by training employees to take on a new role in organizations: that of Circular Economy Manager (CEM), which will help companies transition to this new model.
