AGROALNEXT Project: Plant biofactories as biostimulants for agricultural production adapted to climate change

  • Type Project
  • Scope Autonómico
  • Autonomous community Murcia, Región de
  • Main source of financing NextGenerationEU
  • Project website Web del Proyecto
Description
The project develops bioproducts from in vitro cultures with a biostimulant effect, applied to pepper, tomato, and melon seeds. It aims to improve seedling germination and tolerance to climatic and fungal stress, promoting more sustainable and resilient agriculture.
Results
New bioproducts with a biostimulant effect. Antifungal efficacy against Stemphyllium, Alternaria, and Fusarium. They improve germination, vigor, and tolerance of tomato, pepper, and melon seeds under saline stress conditions. In seedbeds, they stimulate growth, photosynthesis, and tolerance to abiotic stress.
