Description
The ECO-BIO-FERTIPELLETS project develops pelletized biofertilizers through the agro-composting of agri-food waste and by-products.
Contextual description
The ECO-BIO-FERTIPELLETS proposal aims to design, develop, validate and market new pelleted biofertilizers from three specific residual agri-food flows (pig slurry, olive pomace and agricultural prunings), which currently generate serious environmental and management problems in the Valencian Community and other communities of the AGROALNEXT consortium.
Results
Pelleted biofertilizers have been developed from agri-food waste that increase soil fertility, improve crop resilience to water stress and mobilize immobilized phosphorus, offering a sustainable and efficient alternative to conventional fertilizers.
