N&S4AGRO aims to improve the performance, sustainability and safety of the agri-food sector
Contextual description
The N&S4AGRO project investigates how to improve the performance, sustainability and safety of the agri-food sector through the use of nanomaterials and sensors based on electronic noses and tongues.
Results
The developed silica nanomaterials are viable, stable, and compatible with bioactive substances without accumulating in food, and the sensors allow for monitoring composting processes, detecting pests, and analyzing soil quality.
