AGROALNEXT BioestimulaN Project: Use of biostimulants to improve nitrogen use efficiency in plant species of agronomic interest
- Type Project
- Scope Autonómico
- Autonomous community Navarra, Comunidad Foral de
- Main source of financing NextGenerationEU
- Project website Web del Proyecto
Description
In BIOESTIMULAN, biostimulant products for plant growth have been explored, studying their correct management together with mineral nitrogen fertilization, in an effective way, allowing on the one hand to reduce the mineral nitrogen fertilization and/or its losses in the environment, and on the other hand, increasing the efficiency in the use of nitrogen by the crops, preserving at the same time the yield and quality of crops that are of agronomic interest for Navarra.
Results
Non-microbial biostimulants: Formulation of a new liquid biostimulant product. It has been field-tested with the fertilizer company TimacAgro in order to prepare it for commercialization. Microbial biostimulants: Two promising microorganisms have been selected and are being studied in depth in the current MICROREGENERA project, in collaboration with Florette Iberica SL, for field application.
